Required Equipment for Class
The following should be brought to class. The notebook should be stored in your locker.
1. A 1" Loose-leaf notebook (Photo only) - with 4 divided sections.
2. Clear Plastic Sheet Protectors: 8.5X11 (3) Hole Punched.
3. Flash Drive: 256mb (Optional: Can be used for another class to save work.
4. Pen or pencil to write with.
5. A desire to learn
Projects are arranged by Marking Period. The photographic assignments should be done in sequential order. If you are finished you can move on ahead. It will be very important to have at least one assignment done per week along with a tutorial. I will introduce an assignment per week along with a tutorial. If you move on ahead of class it is your responsibility to read all instructions.
Suggested weekly pacing for Photo 1 assignments:
Day 1: Shoot Assignment + Download Photos. (40-60 minutes)
Day 2: Select Photo and Optimize (40 Min) + Edit, rename, and Print Contact Sheet
Day 3: Print Photo / Complete and Print Data Sheet (20 min) / Complete and Print Self Evaluation
Film: Will add 3 Days for Developing /Scanning
All PHOTO Projects will Have::
· (1) 8X10 Photo or (2) 5x7
· The Data Sheet: (File Information)
· The Contact Sheet: (16 Exposures)
· Self Evaluation Form
All assignments will be expected on the given due date. Due dates will be either listed on the calendar and given in class at least one week in advance. Due dates correspond with progress reports and marking period grade entry. Make sure you keep on top of your assignments. It is very easy in this class to fall far behind and not be able to complete assignments. Assignments should be stored in a notebook and accessible for teacher review.
Note: Assignments can be added or deleted at the discretion of the teacher.
